what you can expect from your midwest wedding photographer

I want photography to be more than something on your checklist for your wedding.

You don’t realize it now while you’re so focused on centerpieces, and who’s sitting where, and bridesmaid dresses, and florals— but photography is really the only thing that lasts past your wedding day. The number one thing I hear from couples who went cheap on photos for their wedding is how much they regret it.

Photographs are something that will only increase in value over time as the images get passed down for generations. If you’re shopping around just trying to find the cheapest deal, trust me, I’m not that. And that’s okay, because you deserve to have a photographer that will fit all of your wants and needs— including your budget

I’m passionate about capturing couples who believe in the value of meaningful, authentic photographs that will last a lifetime.

Frequently Asked Questions

I’m all about the natural interactions between you and your loved ones. Relaxed, candid, adventurous, authentic. I want you to feel like I captured who you are as a couple, family, individual.

How would you describe your style?

Yes, of course. It's understandable to feel uncomfortable in front of the camera, since most people are not used to having their picture taken. but I want you to forget I’m even there, and prompt you through everything so you can feel comfortable and empowered.

We’re “awkward”, can you help us?

Yes! I shoot all over the tri-state area and beyond! Some travel fees may apply. Please fill out a contact form to inquire.

Do you travel?

As soon as you have a date for your event, inquire with me! It is never too early to book your wedding vendors.

When should I book? How long before my wedding date?

Typically, they are 1 hour long, although you can book more time if you’d like.

How long are your sessions?

Please fill out a contact form for all sessions, as prices may vary depending on location and event size. Base prices can be located on my pricing page.

What are your prices? Do you offer packages?

Yes! If you are opting for a less traditional wedding day, I will be there for the adventure.

Do you shoot elopements?

Yes! location scouting, outfit ideas, wedding day timelines, vendor recommendations, etc!

Do you help with the planning process?

I always recommend having an engagement session, not only to capture that important event, but also to use as practice before the big day. Especially if you’ve never had photos taken, you don’t want to feel intimidated on your wedding day. It's also a chance to get to know your photographer, and have them get to know you, what you like and don’t like.

Is an engagement session necessary?

Yes please. I loovvee dogs. They’re definitely a part of the family and should be captured accordingly! We brought our dog to our own engagement shoot and it was great. I recommend bringing a friend to entertain your pup in order to get photos with and without them.

Can we bring our dog(s)?

No. Editing is a large portion of the creative process. Unedited photos are not a representation of my work, so I do not include them in any session package.

Do you offer unedited photos?

You will receive sneak peeks 1-3 days after your session, and your full gallery 2-4 weeks after your session. For weddings, full galleries are available 6-8 weeks after your wedding.
